Quick Observation

We traveled out into Canyon Creek from WMR, to ascend a West to Southwest aspect on the North side of the road.

Started to see wind effecting the snowpack at 6200'  - very strong winds with high transport rates.

Dug pits at 6072'

Pit #1- in a shallow pit, saw breakage on the facets on the bottom of the snowpack

Snow Depth 90 cm

Pit#2 - Saw no propagation, however with force (CT13) failed on the facets below Christmas Eve rain crust.
