Quick Observation
If you've read the previous obs from the Middle Fork Corridor, not much to add.
Toured the ridge line from Palindrome to Running Rabbit and on exited down to the Goat Lick bridge.
Cold temps are preserving good snow quaility on all aspect. Steeper south and west aspects were affected slightly by solar warming, moist snow surface and in some places a very thin zipper crust.
High clouds along with some localized cloud developement also helped keep the sun at bay.
The last storm layed down a 8-10" blanket of snow with little to no wind.
Ridge top winds were light with some periods of moderate gusty conditions.
We did see some large areas of surface hoar, up to 1cm. The wind had knocked most of it down, along with the sun taking its toll, but there were still large areas that were well preseved. Found on all aspects at above 5,500'
Skied all aspects of the compass, open terrain, up to 40*. No signs of snow instability or recent avalanches.
Looked like the east bowl of Running Rabbit is experiencing some great stability.
Looks like everybody is having a great time out there.
