No bucks, wounded or otherwise.

Today we took advantage of the clear skies and rode around the central Swan Range.

• We found a semi-supportable crust ( supportable if you are a smaller human, breakable if you're a bigger one) with a few inches of new snow on top. This crust started in the valley floor and pasted all aspects up to 6300'.  Above that, we're unsure as we didn't make it any higher.
• In our pit we found a consolidated, 5.5 foot thick, 1F hard slab atop the 1/13 crust.  We found it to still be reactive in a Propagation Saw Test( 45 cm cut before full propagation).
• We looked into tons of country and saw two recent avalanches. One that looked to be a cornice fall/wind-slab that stepped down to a persistent slab. This was on an E aspect at approx. 7000'. Another was on a west facing aspect at middle elevations. We could not make out any specifics other than some wet looking debris from a couple of days ago. 
• There was some evidence of sloughing on steeper terrain of the new snow sliding on the most recent crust.
• Travel for the sleds was fantastic, and the one small descent we did on skis was remarkably alright as well.  
• Skies were overcast with temps staying just at the freezing mark from mid elevations on up.
