Toured out to Skook and Oz. Skied a few north-facing shots in the lower-angled trees. Saw multilpe crowns from the recent avy cycle on both north and south-facing aspects, some of which had propagated an impressive distance. No cracking or whoomphing observed throughout the tour. Expected to find heavy snow and crust on the south-facing aspects, but snow was fairly smooth and supportable everywhere. Dug a pit at about 6700 on a north-facing aspect, with minimal results (ECTN 13 at 20cm on the newer storm snow, Q3), but with the whole column, well-consolodated and taller and heavier than me, failing at the Thanksgiving crust with some shear force.
Followed the skin track up to Skook. Skiied a couple of north-facing shots on the way up the ridge to Oz. Followed the ridge and skin-track back home.
