We toured into Rescue Creek today and found a poor refreeze up to about 6000 feet on North aspects. A few inches of globby snow made skins and skis quite heavy below the saddle. The cloud ceiling and steady winds above 6k kept things cooler. We traveled on the south aspect from 6400-7875 ft and found a mixed bag of surface conditions, with wind being the over arching theme. The skiing was better than expected, and only signs of instability we observed were a few roller balls toward the bottom.
