We rode to the end of Big Cr/Hallowat creek today. The sunny skies kept the tree bombs falling and the roller balls moving, however, no avalanches. There was a weak crust forming in the lower elevations from the overnight warming event, with the upper elevations and protected aspects staying drier and smoother. We were able to find the 1/20 crust approx. 50 cm. below the surface, yet no results in our tests. Our greatest concern was the storm snow moving on the drier snow beneath it.
We rode the Big Creek/Hallowat creek road to the lower China Basin area.
