Quick Observation
Day off tour a few miles north of the US Border, near the Northern Whitefish Range
3-4" new overnight, another inch of snow and graupel today.
With periods of moderate gusts and moderate blowing snow, we anticipated finding fresh slab formation. However, the new and drifted snow appeared to be bonding well.
We skied steep terrain at mid and upper elevations with no signs of instability.
