Quick Observation
I went for a short drive 'up the Canyon' to Marias Pass.
Light rain in the valley floor below Essex, with light snow between Essex and Marias Pass
At road elevation, sustained moderate to strong winds started 2 miles west of the pass and continued east. There was moderate transport of snow in this corridor.
Fresh drifting of snow on Highway 2 and freshly formed wind features along the road.
A small wet loose cycle occurred recently on low-elevation steep slopes just above the valley floor.
