Quick Observation

We headed to the NW end of Skook Ridge looking for pow that wasn't heavily wind affected and was sheltered from northerlies. Temperatures were in the single digits to teens all day, light to no wind, and the snow surface stayed cold even on solar aspects. No visible melt-out on trees despite clear skies and sun.

We dug on a SW aspect around 6675ft, finding a clean failure on a faceted crust with hard force around a foot and a half deep (CT) with no propogation (ECT) on that layer or others. The snow surface is lightly wind affected in some areas. No evidence of red flags while traveling or skiing.
