Quick Observation
Toured to 7600' via W ridge of sub-R.R., descended NW aspect
Isolated pockets of wind slab (4F-1F hardness) existed on specific, ridgeline terrain features throughout climb (4-7k), these were shallow (3"-12") and stubborn to trigger (failed on faceting, old snow)
Temperatures spiked relatively quickly in my location, from single digits(AM) to upper 20s(PM)
Winds light and variable
E/N facing basins and aspects were scoured from the last Arctic
Descended Goat Lick path. Good turns immediately off ridgeline in the gladed and shaded (some windslab here-and-there below 6k)
Thicker, ioslated windslab (12"+) above 6500', easy to avoid
Surface remained dry to valley floor in shaded (expecting that to change soon)
