We headed up to Comeau Pass with the idea of going skiing, but battling the elements to get there was probably the biggest task of the day. Rain came down until 5kft, then snow above that. Above 6500ft, winds were moderate with strong gusts, moving to strong with very strong gusts at 7kft and above. Precip rates were around S1, perhaps S2 when the wind calmed for a moment. Drifting and scouring were prominent, and the new snow surface atop old snow on the N flanks of Gunsight Mtn was windboard.
