Shear...madness? Bliss?

Enjoyed sunshine, recent snow, and lift access to terrain east of WMR.

• Ski cuts triggered 2 wet loose slides on a steep, sunny convexity at 6200 feet. These moved slowly but ran far on the underlying crust, entraining enough snow to be dangerous if they pushed you into a tree (Image, avalanche tab).
• Saw a large but thin, skier-triggered wet slab (Images, avalanche tab) on a southerly slope that ran 600 feet and dumped debris on the snowmobile trail (image). Two tracks exiting the debris indicated the party skied out suceesfully. 
• Noticed several natural wet loose avalanches in and near the Skook Chutes (avalanche tab). These ran about mid-path, probably today. 
• Mostly calm, though a few periods of light winds. No blowing snow. Temps remained below freezing at ridgelines.
• Snow remained dry on northerly slopes and some low angle slopes near north above 5300 feet. Moist to wet on slopes receiving direct sun, with some sticky patches.
