Sluff the magic dragon in the Park

We altered our plans to ski a consequential south-facing slope because of wet loose instabilities and lingering potential for storm slabs. 

• Warm temps, clear skies transitioned to thin overcast by the afternoon, calm winds.
• ~6" of new snow above 5,000' became moist or wet on sunny slopes. Below 5,000', accumulations were minimal.
• Numerous dry loose and wet loose avalanches ran today, generally D1 to D1.5, on sun-baked slopes. We also skier triggered similar slides.
• A handful of thin storm slabs ran during the storm yesterday, up to D1.5.  We triggered keyboard-sized storm slabs on unsupported rollovers.
• All of these slides ran on the most recently buried sun crust.
