Quick Observation

Traveled from the West Side of the Resevoir via snowmobile as a party of two, and then began skiing around 3,500 feet.  We climbed up to just over 7,000 feet.  Did not observe any shooting  cracks, no whumphing, or any signs of instability.  Dug several hasty pits as we traveled, and also observed several snowmobilers and snowbikers traveling in similar terrain as we climbed.  Wind increased slightly as we climbed, and we eventually saw evidence of stronger winds towards the ridgetops...crossloading and wind scoured, although the winds remained fairly calm throughout our tour, and the skiing was great.  Enjoyed soft snow down to about 4,000 feet where it began to feel heavy again, although never experienced any strong crusts.  We skied mostly a Southeast facing aspect up high, and stuck to around 30-35 degree slopes.  Then a bit of a slog through the lower alder as we made our way back to our sleds.
