Our roommate party toured up to the Marion Lake and then up the S facing slope to access the N facing terrain into Dickey creek. There was a prevelent crust on the South facing aspect from yesterdays sun/ warming. With the help of mostly cloudy skies there was minimal glopping going up the S face and not much rollerballing. Before dropping into the N face we stomped across a starting zone and even practiced a double Dalimata stomp test. We skied the N facing slope towards Dickey from elevation 6800 ft. to 5000 ft. a couple of times and enjoyed mostly spring pow. The snow was moisting from the warming throughout the day and the glopping on our second skin up got difficult. Our out run was a SE facing slope. It skied well enough. We stayed on top of the surface thanks to the aforementioned crust, minimal mank. We did not obsereve the signs of the PWL. This week's transition is going to be difficult. Hoping for some Spring skiing or perhaps another storm.
