Quick Observation
Spent two days in Upper Spruce Creek, skied Vinegar and Forster.
Weather
-Spring-like, occasional sunshine, occasional blizzard conditions.
< 5000'
-4-6" of new, wet, dense snow
-cohesive enough to glop on skins
>5000'
-12"-18" of new, light density snow (slightly upside down in the 6000-7000' range)
-No obvious signs of instability
-Some windslab formation present on ridgelines
-Bouts of moderate gusts transporting surface snow (see photo)
-Sluffing on steeper rollovers, otherwise, new snow seemed to adhere well to underlying crust
No signs of natural activity anywhere when allowed the visibility.
