All day tour on S aspect of Marion Lake. In our pit the new snow fractured at ECT8 without propagation, made for some slough skiing in the powder, but not enought to carry us. Varied winds and windloading experienced throughout tour. Had a few "whoomphing" events on the skin track, but no cracking. No other signs of instability or recent avalanche activity.
