Toured out to Old Man Bowl via Goulie Ridge to look for crust layers. Found stable snow from our compression tests and a lack of wind deposited snow. About a meter of snow covers the 2/8 crust. At 6650 feet on an ESE aspect on a 25 degree slope, we dug a snowpit 145 cm to expose the the crust and noted 3 potential slabs from a shovel shear test at 58cm, 76cm, and 98cm just abouve the crust. Our CT failed with moderate force 25cm below surface and again with strong force at 93cm with a Q2 break. ECT produced similiar results without proprogation. Overcast day, with calm SE winds, and lightly snowing.
