Stubborn wind slabs in the Swan

We went wind slab hunting along the Swan Crest and found 'em, but they were pretty small and easy to avoid.

• Drifts were stiff and up to 18" thick below exposed, corniced ridgelines. Slabs did not extend far down the slope, they were localized to the just below the ridge. We were able to get them to pop a few feet wide after undercutting and then stomping on them.
• There were smaller pockets of drifted snow behind trees on the way up that produced minor cracking
• No other signs of instability. We felt comfortable skiing steep terrain where the snow was soft and protected from winds. We avoided consequential, leeward terrain. 
• Quiet weather: very light snow and light winds without any snow transport.
