Went out in the Whitefish range today skiing south and southeast facing slopes. At elevations around 6,400 we found the recent rain crust continued to be present. The snow warmed quickly in the late morning. Later in the day the rain crust on a southeast facing slope had disappeared but we did have small movement of wet snow. Hard crust persisted in shaded areas.
