after a heads up day in tunnel creek/grant, went into tranquil basin and furlong and found remarkable different story. there was minimal evidence of wet/loose activity and no significant crowns to speak of. we enjoyed crustless hot pow on the east aspects and consolidated powder on n and nw aspects without any evidence of instability, even on steeper leeward aspects. calm winds. some increased clouds in the late morning/early afternoon helped limit warming.
