With personal safety as our #1 concern, we chose a well-beaten path to avoid punchy snow to 5700'. Smart call.

• A meager inch of new snow at the trailhead and 2" at 5500’.
• Intermittent morning solar warmed sunny aspects and produced roller balls up to 5300'.
• Continuing with our safety first message, we chose to ski a southerly slope for the first time in weeks.
• We enjoyed 7" of Flathead powder up to 6500' with minimal sluffing of this relatively low-density snow.
• Calm winds with no signs of wind affected snow on the southerly slope or ridgeline.
