Sunshine and wind on my shoulders

Inspired by the John Denver observation yesterday and so went out looking to enjoy some sunshine myself. Plenty of sun as well as:

• Multiple D1-1.5 loose wet on steep, rocky, south-facing aspects that ran yesterday and the day before (photo). No avalanches running today before my exit at 1430. No recent cornice falls or slab avalanches observed.
• Moderate SW winds with strong gusts were loading lee slopes near ridgecrests above 6000 feet (photo). Limited to no wind-loading below that elevation.
• Sunny aspects were crusty and shady ones are faceting on the surface and growing surface hoar (except where it's been destroyed by wind). Found healthiest crop of SH at elevations above 6000 feet (photo).
• Debris from the 2/1 deep slab on the NE face of Cameahwait made it down to the flats in Essex Ck basin at 5200 feet (photo).
