Quick Observation

Toured 6 miles up the Mt Marston lookout road to the peak.  Started at 5,000 ft with about 4-6 inches of snow on the road, up higher the snow depth increased to about 20-30 inches depending on the aspect.  Noticed a ton of surface hoar on almost the entire way up.  The sun was out but did not seem to affect the snow much,  the way down was slower than expected (lots of pole pushing).
