Spent a warm, sunny day in the Wahoo drainage. Snow stayed light and skiable in the shade and N facing aspects, but warmed significantly through the day elsewhere, getting heavy and sticking to skins and skis. Trees had dropped most of their snow by the end of the day, even up high. Lots of roller balls, and a couple small slabs cracking underfoot at the end of the day on sunny aspects. Noticed an old crown, probably a couple days old, as seen in the photo, on a steep NE aspect. Surface hoar was notable up high, but largely being cooked off or blown over. Winds were light except on the ridge tops, and lots of wind transport seen up high. Lovely day out, but be prepared to battle some crust on sunny aspects the next couple days.
