Quick Observation

Wet, heavy snow with intense winds kept us on mellow treed slopes today. Snow/rain line was around 4,800 ft. 6-8 inches of new snow above 5,500 ft and 20+ mph SW swirling winds created very touchy windslabs ranging from 4-12 in thick above 6,000 ft. Shooting cracks ranged out 15+ ft and jumping on switchbacks could make a small slab pop out.
