Wind Effect, Powder, and Views

Toured to 7200' in Glacier National Park. 

• Hoping to ski a steep line on a W aspect, we only found 2 inches of wind board on a stout crust. Bailed to more mellow terrain.
• Good powder was found in sheltered terrain.
• Wind was blowing from the NE but no drifting snow.
• Walking out we believe we saw the last snow from an avalanche coming high off Mt Edwards above Snyder Lake. Tough to know for sure though.
