had an awesome spring day in the mountains.  Saw a lot of recent avalanche activity from the wet heavy layers in the snow from the past week.  There was about a foot of fresh snow, it was indeed quite heavy.  Lots of roller balls and wet loose slides that had occurred within the past 48 hours.  Cornices wet massive on the ridge line.  The temps cooled throughout the day and we were able to ride until 6:00 with the days being longer!!:):) Sun came out on our way out and made for a beautiful view of the valley!

Most everything we usually see activity on had already slid naturally in the past 48 hours.

The weather was classic Montana spring weather.  Started out warm and gusty totally socked in, as the day went on the temp cooled and the sporadic rain drizzles turned to snow, wind became consistent, and the ceiling lifted with sucker holes of sunshine but mostly full cloud cover.  Temps cooled as the day went on.
