Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Did a quick ski out to Goulie Point and over to Half Moon and traversed back in bounds at lower Moementum. Felt no whumpfing and saw no shooting cracks beyond my immediate ski steps on the ascent. Sun was out for an hour on Half Moon before I skied. December sun was having no major effect on the snowpack, although soft slab charactertistics were just beginning to manifest. Did aggressive ski cutting on the steep (40 degree) headwall above Half Moon and had soft slab/loose snow sluffing that ran for less than 100 ft. Incredible powder skiing on the open face, although I could feel the zipper crust 20-30cm down on a few turns. The brushy traverse back in bounds was just getting enough coverage to be reasonable.
