Traveled up Essex Creek heading towards Cameahwait. Dug a pit above the bench on Cameahwait's NE aspect, below the sadde between Adams and Cameahwait.
6500' NE Aspect 27 Degree Slope
Height of Snow: 235 cm
Results: CT25 @ 25 cm down (new snow) ... ECTX (no results on our ECT, even with extra force)
We ended up skiing from the summit back down the ridge to the saddle. 4-6" of light new snow from top to bottom, with good bonding between the new snow and old interface. No breakable crust, just great supportable powder skiing. Minimal signs of wind slabs as well, although we played it pretty safe in this regard...
Where did the storm go?!
