We could not easily identify the Jan 19 crust at this particular pit location. We definitely encountered it on our tour up, especially in sun exposed areas at lower elevation

Our ECT had two simultaneous fractures, neither of which propagated. The most noticeable was at approximately 46 cm from the ground where there was a noticeable density change and temperature gradient. The second fracture occurred at approximately 70 cm from the ground.
