More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Snowbiked up trumble creek on Monday. ~30 degree east facing slope/cutbank @ roughly 5500 ft. 125cm deep snowpack with major rain crust close to ground. about 10cm new snow on top of what appeared to be wind slab. the upper 30cm fractured in a tap test on the 4th tap from wrist (extremely light pressure). I was immediately alarmed at the snap this fracture had.
